How many copies can you make from my original?
We can make an unlimited number of perfect copies from your master disc without any loss of quality.

What formats of DVD's can you duplicate from/use as a master?
We can make copies of ANY DVD (DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, Mini DVD, Mini DVD-RW), as long as it does not have copy protection enabled on your master. We can even duplicate from Mini DVD's and copy them onto a full size DVD-R's.

I burn my masters on DVD+R. Can you make copies of that also?
We can make copies from DVD+R, but the disks that you receive back will be DVD-R, which is currently the most compatible format for DVD players around the world.

Does the price include labels or printing on the Disc?
Custom printing is included on every disc. You can choose from many Graphics, Company's Logo and/or Color background (Custom Made Graphic design). What is the best colors for the printing on the disks?
In most cases, colored graphics & text against a white background looks the best and has the sharpest detail & contrast.

What's the best way for me to show you how to print my disc's?
Print out our Disc Template. Roughly draw your graphics and text on it. Send it along with your order so we have an idea how you want the disc's printed. (Note: You will need Acrobat Reader to view and print the Template file).

How should I ship my master disc to you for duplication?
Disc's should be placed in a padded shipper or corrugated box.

Are Sleeves included in the price of duplication?
Only a Cellophane type sleeve. Each disc ordered comes in a transparent cello sleeve. Customers can order white sleeve with a see-thru window or transparent plastic cases. Plase see our packaging section at http://www.colortape.com/newsite/Packaging.html (samples only) Subject to availability.

If I have "Chapter" , "Tracks" or "Menus" on my original disc, will the copies have them as well?
Yes. All Chapter, Track and Menu information is transferred to the copies along with any other data on the
original discs.

How long does it take to get my material back?
Orders are processed and shipped usually between 24-48 hours. Subject to workload. (Also depending on total number of copies ordered)

How can I get my original material copyrighted & protected against unauthorized copying, duplication or distribution?
Any piece of software, audio/video material or song that you write is your property, but sometimes that can be impossible to prove in court. We strongly advise that you copyright your original material. Once it is copyrighted, no one will be able to legally copy or re-record the material without your written permission.

What is a CD/DVD Tower Duplicator?
A Tower style CD or DVD duplicator is an array of high speed CD-R or DVD-R drives designed for duplication without the need for a PC connection. They are manual loading and are designed to be easy to use and low cost.

What is it used for?
Low to High volume CD/DVD duplication, manually loaded. (50-2500 CDs per day) A Tower Style duplicator like the Value Tower Series, is ideal when used in a small office environment or when you have a low number of discs to make and you want to make them quickly. COLORTAPE uses a TOWER Style duplicator.

The Pro Tower series offers a host of professional features designed for high quality CD-ROM duplication and accurate CD-Audio duplication. What is a Disc Printer?
A printer that is capable of printing text and/or graphics directly onto the surface of a CD or DVD disc.

What printing methods are available? What is the quality of each?
There are three technologies used for CD/DVD disc printers:

• Ink-Jet: Similar to paper printing technology but printers are specifically designed to handle CD/DVD media. Pros: Full Color Printing, High Resolution (up to 2400dpi), Average Print Cost from $1.00/disc Cons: Ink will smear when in contact with moisture.COLORTPE uses the EPSON R210 & EPSON R230 printers.
• Thermal: Uses heat and pressure to permanantly print to most any brand of blank CD or DVD media. Pros:
  Permanant printing, Very inexpensive when used for monochrome printing, Average Print Cost from $1.50/disc (Color), $1.00/disc (Monochrome). Cons: Low print resolution 600dpi, More expensive than Ink-jet
  printers
• Thermal Re-Transfer: Photo realistic full color printing using heat and pressure to permanantly print on specially coated CDs or DVDs. Pros: Permanent photo realistic quality printing (160 lpi), Variable Dot Technology Cons: Average Print Cost $2.00/disc. Prices are subject to change. Depending on availability. Large or small runs of Thermal printing is subcontracted to third party. Prices + GST

What forms of payment do you accept for Disc Duplication?
We accept checks, money orders, wire trasfer intoourccount, PayPal and soon all the major credit cards.

You will need tosend as Purchae Order Form. How should I fill out the Purchase Order Form?
Neatly print or type. A signature is required on all orders.

What happens if I get a defective Disc?
All copies are guaranteed against defects for 30 days. If you are not absolutely pleased with your order we will be happy to make an exchange or refund (less original S&H). Simply return the item to us within 30 days via registered Parcel Post, Federal Express or UPS. For more information, see our Refund Policy.

Can you convert or transfer a DVD that's from another country (Region 2-6) and in the PAL or SECAM system?
Yes... we can convert a region 2 - 6, PAL or SECAM DVD and make a region 1, NTSC (American) system DVD that can be played on any set top DVD player. See below for Info.

Do you ship worldwide?
At the present time we only process orders from within Austral-Asia & Pacific ares. Any orders received from outside the AustralAsia & the Pacific areas will be refused and returned to the sender. This is mainly because of high shipping rates and the fact that it is hard for us to guarantee delivery and the quality of orders shipped to other countries.

Can you transfer or copy adult material?
Yes, but ONLY if it used for research or educational purposes. Other commercial material can beprocessed by our subcontracted third party in Canberra (the only place where it is legal to do so in Australia)

We stand behind all of our services & products. If you receive a defective disc or tape we will be happy to make an exchange or refund. Simply return it to us within 30 days via AustPost or AirExpress. (See Below) We value your business and would like every customer to be completely satisfied with each order. We will gladly refund or credit the purchase price less the original shipping, handling or C.O.D. charges for any
defective products, blank disks or tapes. All we ask is that the merchandise be returned within 30 days from the date on your invoice.

Returns must be sent to us via registered Parcel Post, Federal Express, DHL or United Parcel Service. Items must be returned in new, unopened condition. All non-defective merchandise which is returned to us will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Refunds apply ONLY for merchandise purchased from us. It Does NOT apply to non-defective tape and/or disk duplication orders or for custom disk printing. All returns must be accompanied by our Refund Form and a copy of your invoice.

* Please Note: We will NOT issue a refund or credit for disks because they are not compatible with your (or your clients) DVD players or computer drives. Prior to placing an order, make sure that you (and/or your customers) equipment is 100% compatible with DVD-R disks.

We will NOT issue a refund or credit because you ordered more tapes/disks then you could sell.

If you order custom printed disks, we will Not issue a refund for typographical errors and or other printing mistakes unless you have specifically requested a proof prior to your order being processed and shipped. We will however replace any disks that are proven to be defective because of manufacturing errors.

Tapes or disks returned to us that are NOT defective will not be eligible for a refund and will be returned to you at YOUR expense.

CD's & DVD's printed and/or duplicated by COLORTAPE are guaranteed against duplication defects only but NOT against erroneous or wrong data being supplied on your master tape and/or disk. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that the material on the master is correct and free of errors. We will NOT issue a refund or credit because you thought the tape or disk contained your material when in fact it didn't, or you wanted region 1 copies but supplied a region 2 disk for duplication. We check all disks for duplication errors but not for content. Disks are checked by computers for duplication accuracy, but they are never viewed by us or played on a DVD player.

In no event shall COLORTAPE be liable for special, indirect, exemplary or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to loss of use, data, or profits, without regard to the form any action, including but not limited to contract, negligence, or other tortuous actions. You also hereby agree that any and all actions brought for or against COLORTAPE will be held in Perth, Western Australia. Furthermore, you agree that no action can be brought against us that exceeds the original dollar amount of your order and that you agree to pay for any and all costs associated with any collection action brought against you including but not limited to attorney fee's, court costs, etc.
